TightWhiteAsh.com is a website dedicated to cigar and cigar accessory reviews. Currently Dan is the sole writer for the site. My goal is to provide in depth reviews. I write these reviews as I smoke the cigar, offering play by play commentary, detailed tasting notes, and I’m hopefully doing it in a way that is entertaining as well as informative. This is just one guys take on cigars. I’m not an expert, and have only been getting back into the hobby over the past 2 years.
I smoke these cigars in my back yard here in Southwest Florida. On average I smoke between 1-5 cigars a week. Usually 1 or 2 unless I get lucky. So I’ve got a lot of cigars to smoke, and a lot to learn as I develop my palate, but I want to bring you along. The only way for me to improve is to stay at it, so who knows, after a couple hundred cigar reviews I may begin to know what I’m talking about.
About the authors:
Dan
I have been smoking cigars off an on for over a decade, but have taken the hobby more recently in the past couple years. I don’t proclaim to be an expert, but you don’t need to be an expert to start a blog. Who knows, maybe in time I’ll be able to detect the subtleties of aged vanilla from Madagascar. I’m willing to put the time in.
I’ve been enjoying studying cigars more seriously and I enjoy writing, so I figured a cigar review blog would be a fun way to explore both interests. Take this entire website with a big pinch of salt.
A Word on Affiliate Links
I post links to Amazon and Famous Smoke Shop and I will typically suggest buying whatever knife I am reviewing through one of these stores. I have used these websites personally many times to buy my knives and recommend them. However, these are affiliate links so if you click on one of them and proceed to buy something I earn a small commission on anything you may buy. This is how I keep the site running. As required by Amazon.com I need to make the following disclosure:
BladeReviews.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc, or its affiliates.
Also, I want to mention that these affiliate links do not affect my reviews. In fact, the links actually allow me to remain independent, keep the website self-supported, and I have no problem telling you the pros and cons of any knife. It also allows me to publish the website largely free of banner advertisements.
I want to provide accurate information so you can make an informed purchasing decision. If you enjoy the reviews and want to support the site or simply say “thanks,” then feel free to use the links. I sincerely appreciate all your support and wouldn’t be able to keep things running without you.
Buzz Jones says
Dan: I haven’t been on your site for quite awhile – maybe upwards of eight months. The last review I read from you was in April of 2019. Have you stopped reviewing cigars? I hope not because I do enjoy reading your reviews.
